What I set up for cooking studios

I build it myselfWe test it together
Amin

I'm Amin. I live in Amsterdam, I come from tech, and I build these tools myself. For over four years I have run my own language platform, DailyNata, and I built its sign-ups, payments and reports.

  1. 1We go through it together, at your studio in Amsterdam or on a short call.
  2. 2You get a fixed price in writing before I build anything.
  3. 3I build it, we test it with real bookings, and every account stays in your name.

Workshops filling up

A company asks about a team evening for fifteen. It takes several emails to settle a date, a menu and a price, and in between they book somewhere else.

People book and pay in a few clicks, and you see weeks ahead which evenings are filling.

  • Team requests get a ready reply with dates, menus and prices, which you approve with one tap.
  • People book and pay online in a few clicks.
  • One screen shows bookings per evening, weeks ahead.

Guests coming back

Guests leave happy on Friday night, and nothing reminds them of you until they stumble on you again a year later.

We turn one evening into the next booking.

  • After an evening, guests hear about the next workshop that fits, with a link to book.
  • A short feedback form goes out after each workshop.
  • A newsletter and a friendly message invite past guests back.

Payments and numbers in one place

Bookings and income per type of evening live in different places, and the quiet weeks surprise you.

I connect the tools you have, so the numbers come to you.

  • One screen shows bookings and income per type of event, and it updates itself.
  • We work out what an evening really costs, ingredients and staff included, so you can decide the price.
  • We plan the quiet months, the summer and January, ahead of time.

How it works

After we go through it, you get a proposal with a fixed price, before you decide anything. It depends on how much there is to build and on what you already have in place. I build it myself, we test it together as it takes shape, and I keep working until it runs the way we agreed.

A first step, for example: booking and payment for team evenings, set up and tested with real requests. Every account stays in your name, and afterwards you run it without me. If something breaks in the first month after handover, I fix it as part of the price. When it is finished, you get a short guide in plain words on how it works. If you prefer to be shown, I walk you and whoever helps you through it, in person or on a call.

We work in English, and what I build is in your language.

We sat down and Amin walked me through the ways we could automate our admin. He knows the technology well and answered all my questions.

Would you like to go through it together?

Reply to my email, or write to amin@onwardsteps.com. In Amsterdam I come by your studio, and anywhere else we talk on a short call. The first conversation costs nothing.
