What I set up for music schools

I build it myselfWe test it together
Amin

I'm Amin. I live in Amsterdam, I come from tech, and I build these tools myself. For over four years I have run my own language platform, DailyNata, and I built its sign-ups, payments and reports.

  1. 1We go through it together, at your school in Amsterdam or on a short call.
  2. 2You get a fixed price in writing before I build anything.
  3. 3I build it, we test it with real bookings, and every account stays in your name.

New students signing up

A parent emails on Sunday about piano lessons for their child. By Wednesday they have found another teacher.

We make it easy to say yes while the interest is fresh.

  • People book a trial lesson online, at a time a teacher has free.
  • After the trial, a message arrives with the link to sign up.
  • Lessons are paid per term or per month without anyone checking by hand.

Students coming back

A term ends and a few students quietly do not come back. You hear about it when the schedule has a gap.

Before a term ends, the next one is already filling.

  • Students get a personal link to the next term before this one ends, with dates and price.
  • They confirm and pay there, with the payment options you already offer.
  • A short feedback form goes out at the end of each term, so you hear why someone stops.

Payments and numbers in one place

A moved lesson means changing the schedule, the teacher's calendar and the invoice, each by hand.

I connect the tools you have, so the numbers come to you.

  • A moved lesson is changed once, and the schedule, the teacher's calendar and the invoice follow.
  • One screen shows students, teachers' hours and income, and it updates itself.
  • We plan the quiet summer months ahead of time.

How it works

After we go through it, you get a proposal with a fixed price, before you decide anything. It depends on how much there is to build and on what you already have in place. I build it myself, we test it together as it takes shape, and I keep working until it runs the way we agreed.

A first step, for example: trial lesson booking and the message after it, set up and tested with your teachers. Every account stays in your name, and afterwards you run it without me. If something breaks in the first month after handover, I fix it as part of the price. When it is finished, you get a short guide in plain words on how it works. If you prefer to be shown, I walk you and whoever helps you through it, in person or on a call.

We work in English, and what I build is in your language.

We sat down and Amin walked me through the ways we could automate our admin. He knows the technology well and answered all my questions.

Would you like to go through it together?

Reply to my email, or write to amin@onwardsteps.com. In Amsterdam I come by your school, and anywhere else we talk on a short call. The first conversation costs nothing.
